On Wednesday September 18th at 8.30 pm the exhibition 'A Balkan Tale'  opens in Chania. It will be shown  in Neorio Moro (Akti Enosseos, Venetian Port) until the 5th of October.

Outdoor exhibition in Morat Toptani Street
For those who missed the exhibition at the Ministry of Culture, the photo exhibition 'A Balkan Tale' will be on display along the busy pedestrian street of Murat Toptani rruga in central Tirana. In a neighbourhood with many fine buildings from the Ottoman period, the organisers will also be offering historical walks of the area. The documentary film a 'Silent Balkans' will be playing at the Cinema Millennium nearby. The exhibition closes on the 19th October.

The photo exhibition 'A Balkan Tale' opens in Tirana, Albania for five days only! With parallel screenings of a 'Silent Balkans' and lessons for school children by Professor Ferit Duka, the exhibition moves to a new venue after closing on the 5th October.

Exhibition at the Ottoman Baths, Chios Town, Chios, Greece
The 3rd Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities is hosting the exhibition 'A Balkan Tale' from the 1st to the 14th August 2012 at the Ottoman Baths in the Castle (Old Town) of Chios in Greece. The opening is at 8pm on the 1st of August and the exhibition will be open ever day from 9:30-14:00 and 19:00-21:30. Entry is free.

Opening of the Exhibition in Chemnitz

The Exhibition 'A Balkan Tale' will open its doors at 6p.m. in the KUNSTSAMMLUNGEN CHEMNITZ - Museum at the Theatre Square (Theaterplatz 1, 09111 Chemnitz).

The Exhibition will run until 2nd of September. The venue will be open for visitors every day (except Mondays) from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m.

Closing party & Sound Installation
The last event of the Balkan Tale photo exhibition at the Bathhouse of the Winds in Plaka is on Saturday 5th May at 17:00 when the winning photos of the amateur and school photo competitions will be presented.
On the 5 & 6th May, a sound installation by the composer Andreas Diktyopoulos will be running at the exhibition. This soundscape consists of pre-recorded, modified electronic sounds. An artistic approach to the Ottoman past and its heritage that links it to contemporary life.

Special Event at the Goethe-Institut Athen
The Goethe-Institut invites you to the presentation of the cross-media project ‘A Balkan Tale’ and the screening of the documentary ‘Silent Balkans’, on Thursday 1/3, at 20:30 at the Goethe-Institut Athen amphitheatre, 14-16 Omirou Str.
A discussion will follow with historian Christina Koulouri, photographers Kamilo Nollas and Jutta Benzenberg and filmmaker Andreas Apostolidis. The event will be moderated by journalist Sophia Papaioannou.
From Sunday 19th February to 11th March 2012, four guided walks in Monastiraki and Plaka, allow participants to discover the city of Athens of the 17th century.
